30 Days of Goodness: One Story, Many Acts of Impact

Hejaz launched the 30 Days of Goodness campaign during Ramadan, inviting individuals to perform and share acts of kindness throughout the month. Built on the belief that one act of kindness can inspire many more, the campaign encouraged participants to support others in meaningful ways, from helping neighbours to contributing to community initiatives.

Over 30 days, participants shared their experiences, with five finalists selected and the wider community invited to vote for the winning story. One participant ultimately received the USD 5,000 grand prize.

More than a social media campaign, 30 Days of Goodness became a reflection of compassion, generosity, and the positive impact created when people come together to support one another.

More Than a Campaign

What made 30 Days of Goodness special was its openness. It was not tied to a single cause or community; everyone could participate in their own way. Whether visible or quiet, each act reflected the same belief: even small gestures can make a meaningful difference.

During Ramadan, that spirit feels especially natural. The campaign simply gave people a space to share and celebrate moments of service, connection, and care.

For those looking back on how the initiative unfolded, the campaign journey can be explored on the official 30 Days of Goodness event page, which highlights the initiative’s purpose and the community participation that brought it to life.

Perhaps that is why so many stories resonated. They were not extraordinary because of their scale, but because they felt familiar. Most people have experienced a moment when someone else's kindness arrived at exactly the right time.

When Goodness Becomes Contagious

One act of kindness can inspire another. As participants shared their stories, others were encouraged to give, help, and support in their own way. Soon, individual actions grew into something larger.

The ripple effect made the campaign impactful. It focused on making goodness visible, achievable, and worth sharing, rather than just recognition or competition.

The stories shared throughout Ramadan reminded us to slow down, notice others, and value the impact small actions can have on everyday lives.

The Stories That Defined 30 Days of Goodness

From many inspiring entries shared throughout Ramadan, Hejaz selected five finalists whose stories reflected genuine generosity. Following a public vote, Rey and Amalia came up as the winners.

Their winning video captured a heartfelt visit to a local nursing home in Bandung, Indonesia. Rather than simply giving charity, they shared meaningful moments with the elderly, like painting, playing games, and listening to nostalgic stories. Their presence brought warmth to the room, proving that kindness is often just about being present, so others feel remembered.

Following their win, Rey and Amalia visited Hejaz Jakarta Office for the USD 5,000 prize handover and an exclusive interview. Yet, the campaign’s true success goes beyond a single winner, every shared act of kindness contributed to a much larger story of community impact.

A Reminder That Goodness Doesn't End After Ramadan

While one participant was crowned the winner, the true success of 30 Days of Goodness was in the many acts of kindness shared throughout the month.

Ramadan may end, but its values of compassion, generosity, and community can continue through simple actions that create lasting impact. At its heart, the campaign celebrated people making a difference every day, showing that meaningful change often begins with ordinary acts of goodness.
