A Message from the CEO: An Update on Hejaz Investment Funds

Dear Valued Members and Investors,
Assalamu Alaikum,
I am writing to provide an important update on Hejaz and, more importantly, to reassure our community about the strength, stability and future direction of the Hejaz Group.
For more than a decade, Hejaz has been committed to providing the Muslim community with high-quality, Sharia-compliant investment and financial solutions. We have built our business around a simple principle: Muslims should have access to sophisticated financial products without having to compromise their faith or values.
That commitment has not changed, and it will not change.
Hejaz Islamic Super & Pension
As many of you are aware, we have been required to close the Hejaz Islamic Super & Pension fund as a consequence of circumstances outside Hejaz's control, specifically the strategic decision by our Trustee, Equity Trustees.
This is not a decision Hejaz sought, nor is it reflective of the performance, strength or viability of the broader Hejaz Group.
To those members affected, I understand the frustration and inconvenience this has caused. Our team remains available to assist and guide you through the transition, and I encourage you to contact us directly if you require assistance.
Importantly, the closure of this particular superannuation product does not mean Hejaz investment funds are closing.
Far from it.
Hejaz continues to offer more than 10 investment funds, continues to manage substantial Sharia-compliant assets, and continues to expand its investment capabilities both in Australia and internationally.
Our lending businesses also remain fully operational and continue to grow, including our real estate finance and vehicle finance offerings.
Do Not Be Misled by Misinformation
I also want to address something directly.
As Hejaz has grown in size, influence, and international presence, we have become aware of individuals and organizations operating within and around the Muslim community who are circulating incorrect, misleading and, in some cases, deliberately false information about Hejaz and Islamic investment products.
Some appear more interested in gathering information, creating distrust or advancing the interests of others than in supporting the development of genuine Islamic financial institutions for our community.
Unfortunately, this type of behavior can occur whenever a Muslim organisation begins challenging established financial interests and building significant scale.
Do not allow rumours, misinformation or deliberate falsehoods to turn you away from Islamic investment opportunities or from making informed financial decisions.
If you hear something about Hejaz that concerns you, I ask you to do one simple thing:
Come directly to us and verify it.
Speak to Hejaz. Ask questions. Request the facts. Review the relevant documentation. Make your decisions based on verified information rather than social-media rumours, anonymous commentary or individuals who may have undisclosed motives.
Our community has worked too hard to build credible Islamic financial institutions for misinformation to undermine that progress.
Hejaz will always be transparent with our investors and our community. Where there is genuine criticism, we will listen to it. Where improvements are required, we will make them. But where falsehoods are deliberately circulated, we will not allow them to go unanswered.
The Hejaz Group Is Expanding
The reality is that Hejaz today is stronger, larger and more internationally diversified than at any previous point in our history.
Through Hejaz B.S.C., we have been granted a Category 1 Investment Business Licence (Asset Management) by the Central Bank of Bahrain, providing Hejaz with an important, regulated platform from which to develop investment products and services for the Gulf and broader international Muslim market.
We are developing new Sharia-compliant investment opportunities and expanding the Hejaz investment ecosystem beyond Australia.
The Future of Halal Money
We are also undertaking a major expansion of the Halal Money platform.
Thousands of Australian Muslims have already used Halal Money for Sharia-compliant investing and payments. The next stage will significantly expand its capabilities and ultimately develop Halal Money into a much broader global Islamic investment platform.
This represents an important part of our long-term ambition: giving Muslims anywhere in the world access to sophisticated, transparent and genuinely Sharia-compliant investment opportunities through technology.
Wahda — Built for the Global Muslim Community
We are also approaching the launch of Wahda, our global Muslim super app.
Wahda represents one of the most ambitious technology projects undertaken by the Hejaz Group and has been developed by our international technology and operational teams.
It will bring together communication, social interaction, communities, Islamic tools, events and entertainment within one ecosystem, with additional capabilities including payments, games and other digital services progressively being introduced.
Wahda is about much more than launching another application.
It is about creating digital infrastructure designed specifically for the global Muslim community and ensuring that our community has greater ownership of the platforms, technology and financial ecosystems that will shape its future.
Our Direction Is Clear
There will always be challenges when building something significant.
There will be regulatory changes.
There will be competitors.
There will be critics.
And unfortunately, there will occasionally be people who attempt to create fear, uncertainty and misinformation.
None of these changes our direction.
Hejaz is strong. Hejaz is growing. Hejaz is expanding globally.
We remain committed to building one of the world's leading Sharia-compliant financial and technology groups and to providing Muslims with financial solutions that allow them to prosper without compromising their Islamic principles.
I ask our investors and our community to judge Hejaz by our actions, our products, our people, our regulated businesses and what we continue to build.
Thank you for your trust, your patience and your continued support.
We have achieved a great deal together, but I firmly believe that the most important chapter of Hejaz is still ahead of us.
The best is yet to come, Insha'Allah.
Warm regards,
Hakan Ozyon
